Still trying to reconcile 37signals’ axiom that Interruptions Are Toxic with Pivotal’s axiom that Human Interaction Is Important.
@peeja working for yourself/your team is very different than working for others
@peeja Pairing helps dampen the effects of interruptions — there’s usually enough context between the two of you get moving again quickly.
@peeja I think there is a difference between innovation and execution which are often inter-mixed. Pairing obviously helps with the later.
@peeja I think it’s just hyperbole. So many cultures degrade into tending to email and IMs in between hours of non-decision meetings.
